لذلك لجأ إلى استحداث علاج هو (رخصة الزواج)، وبموجبه أُلزم كل من يرغب في الزواج من الجنسين بأن يخضعوا إلى دورات تدريبية متخصصة يحصلون بعدها على رخصة تخولهم الزواج، وفي نهاية العقد نفسه، انخفضت نسبة الطلاق في ماليزيا إلى 7%، وتعتبر اليوم من أقل دول العالم في نسبة الطلاق.
